Jim Clayton Executive Vice President, Home Entertainment, LG Electronics USA
As the Executive Vice President leading the New Business Division in the LG Home Entertainment Company, Jim Clayton is responsible for building new consumer electronics businesses, leveraging the underlying assets and capabilities of LG Electronics.
Clayton is managing LG’s entry into the fitness wearable tech market as well interactive TV initiatives. In addition, he supports LG Electronics in the structuring and negotiation of strategic relationships. His previous LG responsibilities included managing strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, and growth platforms in the LG Electronics corporate strategy office. Before joining LG Electronics in 2009, Clayton worked in the Silicon Valley for more than a decade. He was the CEO of Symphony-Metreo, an analytic platform solution provider, and he worked for a private equity firm, Symphony Technology Group, supporting the acquisition and transformation of software and service companies. Previously, he worked at McKinsey & Company, and as a trial lawyer at Scott, Douglass, Luton & McConnico. Clayton earned his J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law and his B.B.A. degree in Finance from the University of Texas.
